What Remains: I Will Not, But I Want To | A Poem

I Will Not, But I Want To
when the indignation melts away
in its place, like a tidal wave:
ache
yearn
miss
so fiercely, i fear it will
unmake me
but I will not crawl
never again will I:
condense
shy
hesitate
but oh—how part of me wishes to be on my knees
worshiping you again.
Concluding Thoughts
A very straight forward, blunt poem, nothing to really read into. Nothing much for me to add and share.
"To write poetry worth any salt, one must be deeply disturbed—mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically." —Anony Moose.

Your prose illustrates so beautifully the feeling of loss and heartbreak… your use of imagery transports me to my own memories. Beautiful work
